9 of My 2,079 "Resolutions" For 2012

First, I want to take this time to apologize for being absent over the past month and a half.  To catch ya'll up to date, I have been hosting many, many parties for alex+von (FUN), did some Hot Yoga (LOVE), traveled to Mexico (REST), got sick for two weeks (SH*#%Y), my best friend/sister left to England for a year with her fam (SADNESS), had the best Christmas with my family (HAPPINESS), rearranged my house for the 20th time (MADNESS), and started of 2012 to a healthy, running start (CLARITY).

I have no complaints about 2011.  It was awesome and I was super grateful to experience it.  I got my bootay back into the gym and tried to sort through my diet to figure out what works and what doesn't.  It was definitely a year focused on health and better living.....uh um Blog!  I truly appreciate all of the kind feedback on it.  It keeps me busy and helps me stay true to how I want to live.

Now on to my resolutions for 2012.  Truthfully, I don't like the word resolutions.  It sounds too serious and disciplined (which clearly, I am not).  I like the words goals, accomplishments, personal ambitions and enhancements.  Basically, how can I upgrade to my dopest self.  Here is what I came up with:

1.  Drink more agua.  I want to keep my body more alkaline and hydrated.  Especially with this cold weather my body needs to be quenched!

2.  Get back to eating 85% fruit and veggies daily.

3.  Blog more :)  Although it takes time from the kids (rather just E because the other two are usually in a deep slumber), it keeps me on track, I get to practice photography, it gets me in the kitchen, and helps me stay current on health trends.

4.  Grow my alex+von business.  I truly love the products I represent and LOVE that they are all natural.  I want ladies (and men) to start to take it upon themselves to try natural products that are good for their bodies and health not to mention the environment.  I feel blessed to have some of the most loyal and happy customers.

5.  Get a pool put in our backyard (I kid, I kid, unless The Husband is on board?!?!?) I will settle with a spa!

6.  Save money (humph). Funny this is my thought after the glorious pool idea.

7.  Go to London to visit my sister and hopefully have it coincide with a Coldplay concert or meeting/having dinner with Gwenie and Chris Martin.

8.  Did I say save money.

9.  Now this I am totally serious about, I want to start taking some kind of martial arts.  Really!  I feel like this would be a huge accomplishment and it is something I always have wanted to do.  I know life is short, why not just do it?  I like to challenge myself and this, I think, would be just plain superior.

As the year goes on, I might add more to the list or realize some of my personal ambitions should be scratched.  My prerogative!

Happy New Year my dear readers.  Thanks for the continued support and love.
